Four day coach trip based in the historic town of Colchester and visiting six gardens of differing sizes and styles.

Monday

Leave Yeovil 8.30am with a comfort stop at Fleet and then a visit to the Gardens of Easton Lodge, a recently restored Harold Peto’s garden, where we will enjoy a garden tour, tea, and cake before heading to the hotel and a group meal (this meal included in the costs)

Tuesday and Wednesday

There will be two gardens visits each day and will include the Beth Chatto Gardens, which needs no introduction. Another definite visit is Green Island Gardens, a twenty-acre private garden with different gardens and plant nurseries. Other gardens to be finalised, but we have a wonderful shortlist.

Thursday

Heading home with a diversion to explore the gardens of Hatfield House (entrance to the house not included) and a comfort stop at Fleet Service Stations. Estimated back to Yeovil 5.30pm.

Meals

Group meal on the first evening included in the price – with vegetarian/vegan options. We have no formal plans for other meals, but options include the hotel or any of the restaurants in Colchester.

On either day 2 or 3 lunch will be in Maldon, an ancient and attractive market town with cafes and the option to walk down to the Hythe Quay to marvel at the old Thames Barges. Lunch on the other day depends on the locations of the gardens selected.

  • Coach travel to and from Yeovil. Regular comfort stops with onboard refreshments for sale. 
  • Three nights B&B in a 3* Hotel
  • Hotel breakfasts and group meal on first night –  all other meals are extra.
  • All garden and attraction entrance.
