A leisurely 6-day break visiting a selection of beautiful gardens in Northern Ireland with additional garden visits on route!



Leaving Yeovil at 8am and stopping at Spetchley Park Gardens nr. Worcester and Arley Hall, Cheshire on route to our overnight stop at Premier Inn Kendal Central, with free time in  the evening in town.


We drive to Logan Botanic Gardens on the Rhins of Galloway, before taking the ferry to Larne and on to the Strangford Arms Hotel, Newtownards. Group evening meal on arrival.


A morning visit to the newly restored Hillsborough Royal Palace Gardens. Lunch in the village followed by a visit to Rowallane Gardens NT. Evening free to explore Newtownards.


In the morning we will visit the iconic Giants Causeway, before driving along the Antrim coastal route to Glenarm Walled Garden, with time for lunch in the Castle tearoom. On our way back to the hotel we will stop at Ballyrobert garden and nursery. Evening free to explore Newtownards.


We will catch the mid-morning ferry to Scotland, stopping at ‘the artists’ town’, of Kirkcudbright with its cafés and gallery’s and Broughton House & Garden NTS. Overnight at a Premier Inn near Carlisle.


Final day stopping at “the garden makeover of the century” Trentham Gardens on route with time for lunch before arriving back in Yeovil at approx. 6pm.

What’s included in the price?

  • Coach travel to and from Yeovil with maximum of one pick-ups on route. Regular comfort stops with on-board refreshments for sale.
  • Daytime ferry travel from Stranraer to Northern Ireland and back.
  • Three nights B&B in a 3* Hotel with private facilities in Newtownards and Premier Inn hotels on way up and back. Breakfast is include in the Hotel, and one group meal in Newtonards  – all other meals are extra.
  • Garden and attraction entrance tickets to Non National Trust Properties. National Trust properties free to members, non members  additional £21.50.
